Reputation Squad and Viparis: Real Estate Photography of Paris Expo / Porte de Versailles

Recently, I had the privilege of carrying out a photographic report at one of the most iconic exhibition venues in Paris: Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. This assignment, entrusted to me by Viparis, the site’s operator, represented a rare opportunity, as Paris Expo is a venue that is almost never empty, making architectural photography sessions exceptionally complex and rare.

My objective was to capture the essence and unique particularities of the entire exhibition park as well as the seven pavilions that make it up. Each pavilion, with its own size and configuration, presented a distinct challenge, requiring a tailored approach to capture its unique character and functionality within the park.

The complexity of this project lay not only in the diversity of the spaces, but also in the need to apply the full extent of my photo retouching expertise. In a venue so vast and in constant motion, it was crucial to remove certain specific signage elements, passers-by, or technical equipment such as cranes or cables, to ensure that each photo reflected the architectural and functional purity of the spaces without distraction.

Furthermore, with Paris 2024 on the horizon, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles will play a key role in hosting certain Olympic events. It was therefore essential to capture not only the potential facilities but also the Paris 2024-specific signage already in place. This work turned into a genuine visual preservation mission, offering a unique glimpse into Paris’s preparations for this global event, while highlighting the exceptional infrastructure of Paris Expo. This project not only consolidated my reputation as a photographer specialising in large spaces and events, but also provided Viparis with compelling visuals to promote this iconic venue.
