Biography
An engineer by training, Pierre gave up integrated circuits for architectural photography. Born in 1982 in the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Islands in North America, Pierre was very early on marked by the striking contrast between the small colored wooden houses of his native archipelago of 6,000 inhabitants, and the ultramodern towers of large North American cities. After pursuing scientific studies in France and working for several years in computer labs, he decided to go against the grain by choosing artistic creation as a profession and as a way of life.
Based in Paris, France, he now dedicates himself to his profession as an architectural photographer and his artistic photography work. His style is characterized by a minimalist aesthetic that he puts at the service of the natural beauty of buildings, their geometry, their volumes, their colors …
A doctor from the Sorbonne University – Pierre et Marie Curie campus, trained in photography at the famous Gobelins image school, Pierre won the architectural photography competition organized in 2018 by the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris. He won the Unsplash Photographer of the Year award in 2017 and 2018. He had his first solo exhibition in 2019, at the Europia gallery, Paris. His work has been published in L’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui, Archinect Magazine, Fisheye Magazine, Phototrend, Prodibi.
Pierre produces architectural and interior design photography reports. Its practice covers all types of construction in public spaces: offices, residential buildings, major facilities and infrastructures, hotels, restaurants, luxury boutiques, etc.
